Privacy Policy
Last updated: 31 August 2026
SharpEdge Tips is an Android app that publishes football betting tips. This policy explains what the app collects, what it does not, and how to change your mind about any of it.
The short version
The app has no accounts and asks for no personal details. It does not know your name, your email address or your phone number, and it never asks. The only data that leaves your device is what Google's advertising system collects in order to show ads, and you control that through a consent screen shown the first time you open the app.
What we do not collect
- No account, name, email address or phone number — there is nothing to sign up for.
- No location data.
- No contacts, photos, files or messages.
- No record of which tips you read, tapped or acted on.
- No payment details. The app is free and sells nothing.
What is collected, and by whom
| Data | Collected by | Why |
|---|---|---|
| Advertising ID and standard ad-request data (device type, coarse region, ad interactions) | Google AdMob | To select and measure the ads shown in the app |
| Your consent choice | Google User Messaging Platform, stored on your device | To remember whether you agreed to personalised ads |
| Odds format preference, lessons completed, and any bets you choose to track with your own stake | Stored on your device only | So the app remembers your settings and your personal record. This never leaves the phone and we cannot see it. |
Google's handling of ad data is governed by its own policies: How Google uses information from sites or apps that use our services.
Advertising and your choice
The app is free and funded entirely by advertising. Some content — additional daily tips, the combination of the day, and one educational module — can be unlocked by choosing to watch a short ad. That is always optional and always labelled; nothing is hidden behind a payment.
The first time you open the app you are asked whether you consent to personalised advertising. You can change that answer at any time in Settings → Privacy options. If you decline, or if the consent screen cannot be shown for any reason, the app requests no ads at all rather than falling back to serving them.
What the app connects to
The app fetches published tips and statistics from our own server. Those requests carry no identifier of any kind — every reader receives exactly the same public data, and there is nothing in the request that distinguishes one device from another.
Where the tips come from
Tips are aggregated from publicly posted content by third-party football tipsters. Tipsters are shown under pseudonymous aliases, and we publish structured facts — the match, the market and the price — rather than reproducing their text. We are not affiliated with any of them, and nothing in the app implies their endorsement.
Children
The app is rated 18+ and is not directed at children. We do not knowingly collect any data from anyone under 18.
Your rights
Because the app holds no account and no identifiable record of you, there is no personal data of yours for us to export or delete on request — there is nothing stored under your name because your name was never collected. To remove the on-device data (your settings, lesson progress and tracked bets), clear the app's storage or uninstall it. To withdraw advertising consent, use Settings → Privacy options.
Not financial advice
SharpEdge Tips is provided for information and entertainment. Nothing in it is financial advice, no outcome is guaranteed, and past results shown in the app are not a prediction of future ones. Betting carries a risk of losing money. 18+ only. Please gamble responsibly — free, confidential help is available at BeGambleAware and through the national services listed in the app's Learn tab.
Changes
If this policy changes, the date at the top changes with it. Material changes will also be noted in the app's release notes.
